- Net sales increased 10.2 percent and amounted to
SEK 2,911 million (2,641). Organic growth, including targeted acquisitions, was 6.8%.
- The operating result (EBIT) amounts to
233 million Swedish kronor (221).
- Adjusted operating income, adjusted for elements affecting comparability and the effects of IFRS 16, amounts to
194 million Swedish kronor (151). Items affecting comparability amounted to -30 million Swedish kronor (10) relating to a fire in a compulsory school.
- The net profit for the period amounts to
100 million Swedish kronor (91).
- Earnings per share was
0.94 SEK (0.87) after dilution. Adjusted for IFRS 16, earnings per share were 1.15 SEK (1.11) after dilution.
- The average number of children and students in preschool, compulsory school and upper secondary school in the first trimester was 91,431 (85,642), an increase of 6.8 percent.

Continued strategic development of the compulsory school segment
A year ago, we renamed 28 units in our compulsory school segment. The aim was to clarify the educational offer for tutors and to allow schools with a common pedagogical concept and similar working methods to work and develop together.
Since the name change, the cooperation between schools of the same profile has worked well. The profiles served as a solid basis for joint development and enhanced cooperation which benefited both staff and students. This reinforced our belief that this is the right strategy, and in this context, we launched a new compulsory school profile, Innovitaskolan, shortly after the end of the term.
Innovitaskolan combines traditional education with modern tools and methods. 41 units, all former Pysslingenskolor, are part of Innovitaskolan. We are convinced that Innovitaskolan fits well with our other four educational profiles, Noblaskolan, Montessori Mondial,

Most people agree that these are important questions; the disagreement is about how best to resolve them and what caused the problems.
Regulatory changes in the school sector take time, which is a good thing. In addition, no proposal currently has a political majority. Schools need long-term solutions where responsible politicians and school providers (whether independent or municipal) can develop the system in the right direction.
