The Seattle Mariners and hotel partner Sodexo Live! today announced that Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology and Amazon One are coming to T-Mobile Park, the first time the two frictionless retail technologies will be used in a Major League Baseball stadium. . The Walk-Off Market is scheduled to open this summer near Section 126 on the stadium’s main level. Fans will benefit from an effortless shopping experience, offering the option of inserting a credit card at the front door or waving their palm over an Amazon One device to enter, make purchases and then to go out. The credit card they inserted or linked to their Amazon One ID will be charged for items they picked up after leaving the store. If a fan is new to Amazon One’s palm recognition service, they can register in less than a minute at one of three registration kiosks just outside the store.
The Walk-Off Market will be stocked with a wide selection of beers – craft, domestic and imported – as well as Northwest wines and ready-to-drink cocktails. Buyers will be required to present photo ID to an attendant when purchasing alcohol.
Fans will also find a variety of Coca-Cola products, on-the-go snacks and best-selling baseball fare, including Mariners Dog hot dogs, Ballpark nachos and soft pretzels, as well as a selection of branded merchandise. Mariners.
