Dawei Cai from Saipan to be Head of Summer Orientation at American University | New

GREENVILLE, SC (Press Release) – Dawei Cai, a health science major, BA from Saipan, will serve as Bob Jones University’s group leader during its summer orientation events on June 17-18 and June 24-25 or the orientation of new international students from August 14 to 19.

Orientation Leaders are upper-class students paired with faculty and administrators to guide attendees through Summer Orientation, a two-day event held for freshmen and new students before the start of the fall semester.

Orientation officers connect with students before they arrive on campus, prepare residence halls, lead discipleship group meetings, speak at student sessions, and help counsel students. These student leaders gain valuable leadership skills, develop working relationships with faculty and administrators, and enhance their resumes while giving back to the university community.

“We believe that peers have a meaningful influence on peers,” said Rebecca Weier, director of student engagement and success at BJU. “The orientation leaders we have assembled for this year’s summer orientation are top notch. They have excelled academically in their areas of study and have made a significant impact here on campus through to their discipleship efforts and extracurricular activities. They look forward to making new friends with new students.”

Located in Greenville, South Carolina, Bob Jones University offers an exceptional, regionally accredited Christian liberal arts education purposefully designed to inspire a lifelong quest for learning, love, and leadership.
