DC Srinagar Reviews ABDP for Khonmoh and Harwan Blocks


In order to review the implementation plans of the Anspirational Block Development Program (ABDP) in Harwan and Khonmoh Blocks of Srinagar District, a meeting of officers from the Implementing Departments was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in the DC Office Complex boardroom here today.
Initially, the DC carried out a detailed review of the sector activities carried out by the concerned departments in the Harwan and Khonmoh blocks of the district supported under the ambitious block development program based on 10 performance indicators covering various aspects including poverty, health and health. Development of nutritional education and basic infrastructure of the block concerned.
While reviewing the Khonmoh block development plan, the Deputy Commissioner finalized the plan for 5 smart preschools being developed on modern lines at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh to improve performance indicators. In addition to improving learning outcomes in the block, smart classrooms are a step towards digital education.
As for improving skills development and creating job opportunities for local youths, vocational centers are also being established for which Rs 31.92 lakh has been earmarked.
Likewise, to strengthen the health infrastructure of Khonmoh block and respond to all kinds of emergencies at NTPHC, Zewan in order to provide better facilities for the people, plan to purchase automatic biochemical analysis, table delivery room with multi-para monitor and baby warmer has been finalized.
While the proposal to build 2 pedestrian bridges under the RDD sector in the block under convergence has also been finalized to increase rural catering infrastructure by about 500 souls, in addition to generating man-days under MGNREGA.
On occasion, the DC ordered the construction of a composite child health and nutrition center in the Sangri area of ​​the Khonmoh block to improve the nutritional status of women and children and improve facilities block primary health care. An amount of Rs 18 lakh has also been earmarked for the completion of the works.
Similarly, the ABDP plan for the Harwan block of the district was also discussed in detail and finalized by the Deputy Commissioner.
Under the education sector, a plan of Rs 27.3 lakh for setting up 2 smart classrooms at Barainaar Boys’ Middle and Primary School and setting up 3 smart kindergartens at Gujarpati Dara, Faqir Gujri and Mulnar has been finalized. The establishment of a vocational training center at Boys High School Harwan at a cost of Rs 10.54 has also been approved by the DC.
