Organizers of Germany’s FIBO, the international trade fair for fitness and wellness, have announced that the 2022 event currently taking place April 7-10 in Cologne – the first live FIBO event since 2019 after the coronavirus-induced break COVID – will welcome exhibitors in six halls showcasing the latest news, trends and inspirations for the fitness and health professions, complemented by numerous dedicated spaces and the new FIBO Congress.
Health will have the highest priority at all times when holding the physical event with event director Silke Frank commenting on the planning phase “we have been working hard for months now to organize the first live FIBO since 2019 ensuring the best possible health protection for all parties involved.Based on the experience we have gained over the last two years of the pandemic and the estimates of virologists, we are confident that the patterns of infection will experience positive developments by April.
Hit hard by the COVID crisis, this industry urgently needs impulses to jointly chart its strategic course for the future and Frank adds “we have designed FIBO 2022 in such a way that it actively promotes current market developments and leaves adequate space for high growth segments.
“In the newly designed hall 8, visitors will find the areas Health, Wellness & Spa as well as Interior and meet names such as Hansefit, Gantner Electronic GmbH Deutschland, Klafs, MAC Centercom, Novotec Medical, Pino, Sissel/Novacare , Trugge Getränketechnik oder Urban Sports Club. Various conference forums are also planned, as well as a program organized by the international initiative “Exercise is Medicine”.
Halls 6 and 7 will house a wide range of workout equipment such as Johnson Health Tech., milon industries, EGYM, Core Health + Fitness, Drax, Scotfit, Bodytone International Sport and Panatta. In hall 7, visitors will also discover visionary topics on digitization during the Future Forum. Here, speakers at the forefront of innovation will demonstrate just how tech-rich tomorrow’s fitness world will be.
Hall 9 will be completely revamped merging functional training with group fitness concepts for professional visitors such as coaches and instructors, wellness experts and gym owners. Names featured here include the well-established IFAA Functional Forum, Bodylife and Perform Better, while the IFAA Trainer Plaza will be featured for the first time.
Hall 5.2 will become the first shared “stopover” for fitness professionals and consumers, showcasing all things healthy nutrition, fashion, beauty, group fitness and – new – CBD products. Here, visitors can also find a Lifestyle Zone, Stages and Joint Activity Zones, the Festival of Cycling and Mixed Reality Sports.
Hall 10 will once again be the FIBO POWER Hall with bodybuilding, strength and competitive sports. Nu3, BlenderBottle, Barebells/nocco, Gorilla Wear and Nutrend will be featured here, to name a few.
On April 6, the Congress-Centrum Nord in Koelnmesse will once again host the ‘European Health & Fitness Forum’. The Congress organized by EuropeActive regularly brings together the ‘top guns’ of the international fitness sector.
