Inauguration of the first Pak-China technical and professional institute in Gwadar

The first Pakistani-Chinese technical and professional institute was inaugurated in Gwadar. The project was deployed as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong attended the inauguration ceremony via video link.

During the ceremony, Mr. Rong said the institute, which was established at a cost of $ 10 million in just 20 months. In addition, the prime minister said that the institute has been equipped with advanced machinery to provide the best education and technical skills to young people in Balochistan, especially Gwadar.

In addition to this, Mr. Rong said that the students will be offered free accommodation as well as brilliant scholarships during their training at the institute. The chairman of the China Overseas Port Holding Company said that the technical and vocational institute was an outstanding institution not only for the city of Gwadar but also for the whole region of Balochistan, which would play a vital role in the development of the region.

In addition, he said that the establishment of a vocational institute would play a vital role in ensuring decent jobs by providing vocational training for talented young people in our country. According to the Prime Minister,

Technical institutes play an important role in industrial development and the trained young people would have golden opportunities to get employment in the port of Gwadar, the free zone industry and other CPEC projects.

General officer commanding the 44th division Major-General Inayat Hussain, Rear-admiral Jawad Ahmed of the Pakistani navy, president of the Chinese company Kopak, Zhang Bausing, president of the port authority of Gwadar Naseer Khan Kashani, commander of the 440 brigade, Brigadier Fahad Mansoor Kayani, deputy commissioner of Gwadar Raja Athar Abbas, students and teachers from the Pak-China school also attended the inauguration ceremony.
