More than 27,000 soldiers receive professional training in 3 months


TEHRAN – More than 27,000 soldiers received vocational training in the first three months of the current [Iranian calendar] (March 21-June 21), said Habib Erfanmanesh, director of education management at the Technical and Vocational Training Organization.

The comprehensive professional training plan for soldiers, which started in June 2017, was launched with the aim of promoting the attractiveness and vitality of military service, as well as the training of soldiers before, during and after service.

On the basis of a five-year plan, approved for full vocational training, aims for 100 percent coverage of soldiers through general, basic and specialized vocational training.

There are two types of skills for soldiers and in various economic sectors including industry, service, agriculture, culture and art, which include many jobs, he said, YJC reported. Friday.

On average, training courses are around 100 hours for soldiers, short courses of 40 to 50 hours to 150 to 160 hours, he explained, adding that soldiers receive a valid certificate, which can be translated and provided to organizations abroad.
The plan has so far trained more than 250,000 troops, he said.

He went on to note that this year we tend to expand training courses to provide soldiers in disadvantaged areas with professional skills.

“Of course, the goal is not only training, but employment, so we will be with the soldiers after the end of military service and support them to find suitable employment and provide them with the necessary facilities,” a- he concluded.
