The Foundation trains young people in skills in Benue


Some youths have been provided with free vocational skills by Tanimu Foundation in the North Bank Community of Makurdi Metropolis in Benue State.

Apart from skills acquisition, another 20 received scholarships and scholarships to enhance their education in various institutions of higher learning.

Founder of the Tanimu Foundation and a physician based in the United States of America (USA), Professor Sabo Tanimu, has always shown the gesture in the state.

Speaking at this year’s event, the Foundation’s Director of Finance and Operations, Khalid Omeje, urged individuals and governments to support the founder, noting that the Foundation now has a new program.

He said: “The new scheme includes a cash award of N25,000 to 10 deserving young people who applied for training at the Foundation’s vocational training center but were unable to obtain it due to space. limited, they can use it for training elsewhere.

“Under the new program, tuition fees for some students at higher education institutions have been paid. A link to Scholarships for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study Abroad has also been set up in the center for those seeking admission,” he said.

Meanwhile, those who completed their vocational training under the foundation received certificates and new sewing machines while cash awards of N25,000 each were given to 20 beneficiaries.
